The day has finally arrived to show the beautiful infamous mixed media artwork of Lisa kaus. Stay tuned for many many more photos of her work. Mixed Media is starting to grow and become highly popular and so many people can do it. All you need is special vintage momentos, photos, vintage jewels, canvas and let your imagination run wild. Some mixed media you have to have great painting skills, but hey anything you make is art and if it has special momentos involved, you have created a special heirloom. There are many magazines and books to show the many styles of this new rare style of art. I find the paintings and the mixed media jewelry and handbags to be the best and so addictive. I purchased over a hundred BariJ bags and many many Lisa Kaus paintings and kept half. No one can compete with my handbag collection. BariJ became so popular she has been asked by a major company to design fabrics. She is pure talent and every handbag is tough, sturdy, top quality fabrics (some vintage) and the French 7-yard ribbon brooches she makes is a rare fabulous idea, you can wear them on jackets as well and buy them seperate. Bari's main talent is her ability to create hand sewn appliques that are so charming and unique and one of a kind. Every year she gets better and better. Her straps are either braided leather or hand sewn appliques on the handles. How cool is that? She also has vintage brooches on all her bags. SO many special touches and the interfacing is by far the best. Thse bags will last for years if not forever. She has been featured in magazines and her name will become more and more popular so be on the look out for BariJ. I did not mean to go on about BariJ on Lisa Laus page. I will just say Lisa is highly talented as well and continues to grow and beome better and better. She is more than a mixed media painter, she also is a talented traditional painter as well. She has been featured in many magazines as well so look out for her as well.

Lisa's work is yummy! She is a wonderful artist. I love the texture and colors in her original pieces. Her prints are fun to splash around, too. Friends always notice her work and ask me about it. Keep it coming, Lisa!

My daughter Melissa is making jewelry that will showcase Lisa's art (with Lisa's approval of course!) - and it is beautiful! I hope everyone that enjoys seeing her art will also enjoy wearing it soon! And by the way, great blog Elizabeth - I too have some stories of men that you would love!

Hiya Tina Lee,
I too am so excited to see more of this jewelry. The photo I saw was so fabulous. This is truly the coolest idea to incorporate Lisa's art and Melissa's wonderful jewelry. I can't wait to see "ALL" of the jewelry line. I am praying yall will do necklaces and custom work. Daphne loves the one of a kind and limited edition pieces. We have some exciting boutique changes taking place so custom work is highly needed. I will be waiting for my photos she promised me,(jumping up an down) and again I am so thrilled to have met you two and that you are going to let us carry your wonderful, creative and charming jewelry pieces. Thank you for the blog comment as well. Tina Lee, keep reading the stories, we may have one or two men murder stories for the future. Muahahahaha

Elizabeth -
So glad to have found you through Melissa - you are going to love the necklaces and other goodies she is designing with Lisa's work! Just wait till you see them, you will want them all!
I will keep reading the blog - keep up the great writing. I am working (very slow) on a book - have about 10,000 words, it's pretty good so far - about a dear old friend of ours from CT that we believe was murdered by her grandson (true story). The twist at the end is my own - and is very cool!
Don't have a lot of time to work on it because I am an Investigator and I have reports to write all the time - which makes me not want to do any other typing. But, I am looking into the voice recognition software to be able to do it that way and then hire an editior to make corrections. We'll see!
I look forward to more colorful stories from you!!
