- Everybody tells me that I need to write a blog, even though every blog I have ever read has put me to sleep. I have decided instead of talking only about my boutique, to turn my blog into a wild gossip-fest, bitch-fest, and tales of sassy-mouthed southern women who hold many grudges against men, the world, and wrongdoings. I also am here to teach, if you care to listen, how to pamper yourself through any means possible which might include; obtaining many 'Sugar Daddies', maxing out credit cards, and the art of getting your way through whining, sulking, holding-out, pleading, demanding and/or screaming. Unfortunately, my mother and business partner, is a part of this boutique and blog and she will be stopping in to counter-attack all of which I have stated above and to try and teach women how to be at one with the earth and surroundings and to achieve and maintain your goals through positive thinking. There will be many stories about our distinguished, yet, over-the-top southern family. You don't want to miss our infamous stories such as (some of which include photos):
- Mama Goes Blind At the Wal-Mart
- Wife Chases Running Husband Through Horse Pasture In A Brand New Cadillac
- Black Sheep of the Family
- Midnight Eloping and 30 Day Divorces
- Dad's Neighborhood Wars
- 2 Cats, a Turkey, and a Thanksgiving Nightmare
- 151 Nervous-Breakdowns
- Five Years In a Nightgown
- Twelve Years In Bed
- Pet-Horror and Love
- Vengeful Antics Against Many-a-Men
- Alien Abductions
- Fat Stories and Diets
- Decorating Madness and Horrific Crafts
- The Hypochondriac
- Tales From the Boudoir and Body Anatomy Draping
- Great Motorhome Fiascos
- Pack of Wild Dogs in the Middle of the Night, Chase
- Marijuana-Donut Car Spin
- Cigarettes, Grilled-Cheese, and Candy in the Dark
- Kids, Why Do We Have Them?
- Stories My Mother Is Begging Me Not To Tell
And this is just a small sample of what's to come. I look forward to hearing from you with your stories, ideas, comments, and thoughts. This blog is not for the faint of heart!
If you are a Yankee woman infatuated with the south, you have come to the right place. As a matter of fact, we don't care what kind of woman you are or where you're from, we want to hear from you cause we're in this together. The Sweet Potato Queens have nothing on us!

Thrilled to be the first to comment... Just want to say that I am so looking forward to your stories and sassy fun. How refreshing! Blogs so often turn into a journal on the writer's "pretty, pretty" lifestyle...ie: "Today I made the most darling cupcakes, sewed each of my friends an incredible vintage stlye apron, and had all of the neighborhood children over for craft time." P-L-E-A-S-E get real, people! The truth is that life is messy! Let's have some fun with that. Thank goodness for Daphne's Cottage, a blog that we can really relate to! Best wishes, Elizabeth!!!!

Thanks for the comments! They really meant alot to me.
BariJ, you by far have the most charming beautiful handbags I have ever seen. They have inspired me in many areas and have caused me to branch out into other areas in the fashion world. You have the sweetest personality and I hope to work with you for a long time to come.
Lisa, when I saw your artwork I nearly died. Your artwork has been very inspirational to me and I wish I could have one of your art pieces in every room of my house. I also hope to work with you for a very long time as well.
And above all, to become friends with the women that I meet in my Daphne's Cottage adventures.
For all you other posters I hope to get to know you as well and I thank you all for your comments, suggestions, compliments, and constructive criticisms. Please feel free to comment or email me at anytime about anything. I hope to inspire and entertain all of you girls a little bit too.

Hello from a Canadian who spent some years south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
This reminds me of Hard Hearted Hannah. You know, the vamp of Savannah? The one who poured water on a drowning man??
I think I'm going to love your blog!

This whole thing is way to fabulous for words. Are you in the brain of every woman or what??? hehhehehe. I used to sit for hours with a friend while she stalked her boyfriends. And, they were "always" at strip clubs. Thos nasty men. I don't stalk mine. I don't want to know. hehehhe. :) Okay, maybe once or twice... ;) You are too fun!!
